The Medical Imaging Unit of the Department of Medical Diagnostics embarked on a 3-day retreat at Nyansapo eco-resort at Moree in the Central Region from October 5th to 8th. They were joined by Professor Wonder Kofi Abotsi of the Department of Pharmacology as a resource person and the incoming Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Professor Alexander Yaw Debrah. This was to equip themselves to become a new department with effect from November 1st, 2023. Members spent quality time updating their knowledge on setting high-quality multiple-choice questions, preparing course outlines and teaching materials, developing a career in research and grantsmanship, and other topics of interest. The head of the new department of medical imaging, Dr. Yaw Amo Wiafe, said the retreat was a great success and that members were excited about the topics discussed. They were highly thankful to Professor Wonder Abotsi and Professor Alexander Debra for contributing to the success of the retreat. Dr Wiafe also commended his colleagues in the Department of Medical Imaging for their commitment to the retreat.
